The powers that be must have decided that entertainment in town should slow to a crawl during Father’s Day weekend. It might also have to do with the fact that everyone who’s anyone is at Bonnaroo (no, we’re not bitter at all) and not sitting at home watching it on the internet.Â
All Bonnaroo-bitterness aside, take some time this weekend to call or spend time with your dads… And hit up the 38th American Artisan Festival. Centennial Park will be packed with nearly 200 vendors representing around 40 states, all selling their unique handcrafts. It started yesterday, but will be going on until 7pm today and 10am-6pm on Sunday, so there’s still plenty of time to get in on the action. It’s our top recommendation for the weekend, and a favorite of many of our readers. It also is a great place to pick up a unique gift for dad, for the procrastinators among us.Â
