Bravo’s Top Chef Tour Rolls Into Nashville Today, Iron Fork Tonight

We’re kind of embarrassed that we didn’t give you more of a heads up on this one, Nashville. Bravo’s Top Chef Tour is at the Nashville Farmer’s Market today from 10am-4pm, so if you’re competitive-cooking-show-crazed like we are, it’s time to relocate for the day. Former Top Chef contestants Richard Sweeney (Season 5) and Casey Thompson (Season 3) will be holding down the fort in Nashville, participating in a Quickfire competition that will be judged by the finest Nashvillian food critics, including Flyte Chef Ashley Quick.

Bravo hasn’t let too many more details loose about today’s festivities, but they promise “countless games, prizes, and plenty of chances for pictures and autographs.” And most importantly, the whole event is free, so what do you have to lose?

The Top Chef tour is the perfect start to a glorious day for Nashville food lovers. Tonight is the sold-out Iron Fork, the Nashville Scene’s annual Top Chef-style competition among local chefs. We’re looking forward to watching Charles Phillips of 1808 Grille, Ashley Quick of Flyte, John Stephenson of Fido, Laura Wilson of Turnip Truck and Matt Bolus of Watermark go head to head in the competition tonight while sampling food from 30 of our favorite local restaurants.

But no need to sit here and listen to us ramble – Get thee to the Nashville Farmer’s Market, post haste!
