Tuesday: The Invasion Begins (CMApocalypse 2008)

CMA is right when they claim to be the “four day festival that takes seven days to get it all in.” The fun starts this afternoon at 3:30pm with the AristoMedia Global Showcase at The Second Fiddle downtown. (And yes, we know the fun actually started last night at the 5th Annual CMA Global Artist Party, but we missed it.) Showcasing artists include Victoria Banks, Jason Blaine, Adam Harvey, Jetty Road, Tracy Killeen, Amber Nicholson, Felicity Urquhart, and Mark Wells. This event is free and open to the public.

The Porter Wagoner Memorial Fishing Tournament is also today at Percy Priest Lake, and 28 pairs of country stars and fishing anglers will be competing. You can attend the weigh-in for free at 5pm at the Opry Mills Bass Pro shop, followed by an acoustic concert and a fundraising auction.
