Flatrock Cafe Bringing Caffeine & Community To Nolensville Road [Nashville Newcomers]

Flatrock Cafe, a food-coffee-live music hybrid venture on Nolensville Road in the Woodbine/Flatrock area will have their grand opening this Saturday, December 5 from 8am-2pm, after quietly opening on November 17. Flatrock Cafe serves a simple menu of sandwiches, paninis, salads and soups at incredibly reasonable prices, and we’ve heard reports that the food is quite tasty. They also serve locally-roasted coffee, locally-farmed milk, and our favorite… Locally brewed Yazoo beer. Can’t go wrong there!

Owner Ronnie Haislip is excited about bringing the cafe concept to the neighborhood, and wants Flatrock Cafe to be a place where the community can come together. Bring the dog and enjoy their giant new deck, hole up with a laptop inside, or come sit and enjoy local music. Flatrock Cafe is open from 6am-2:30pm (or later), with additional evening hours for live music performances. You can find them at 2624 Nolensville Pike, or online at flatrockcafe.net.

We went to their Grand Opening today. Food is delicious -especially the tomato basil soup. I appreciate the dog-friendly atmosphere, too: I took my two MIniature Schnauzers and sat on the deck, and they were treated like valued customers just like I was.

I went to the Flatrock Cafe last week (I live in the area) and LOVED it - I knew so many people there and had connections and mutual friends with many more. It was exhilerating to have this sense of community in my neighborhood. The chicken salad sandwich was great and I look forward to checking out their coffee and visiting with more friends there.

I just wanted to correct a statement below- the Flatrock Cafe is not in Brentwood. It is just a few miles south of downtown Nashville, in the Flatrock (or woodbine) area. It's just south of 440 and Nolensville rd.
  • Great news! So nice to see independent coffee shops making homes in Brentwood.
  • I'm so excited about Flatrock Cafe! It fills a void in the Nolensville Rd. area. Their coffee is great, and they have the best cinnamon rolls. It definitely has a community feel to it, the two times I have been there are locals hanging out meeting each other and discussing what is going on the neighborhood!
