Our Favorite Country Musician Remixes Our Other Favorite Country Musician [Snoop Dogg]

Remember back in July when we told you that Snoop Dogg was going to be remixing Johnny Cash’s “Walk The Line” for a Johnny Cash Remixed project? Well, the day has arrived. Sort of. The album comes out January 27, but thanks to a stroke of good luck, we can actually listen to good ol’ Snoop’s track in its entirety RIGHT NOW. Thanks to the Nashville Cream for digging it up, it totally made our day.

  • I don't know what you guys are talkin about. This is what the world of music is all about: UNITING AS ONE! ... gettin along with one another ... collaborating ... utilizing your resources, etc. I love it - think its an excellent remix!
I'm just curious as to how many people are above 40 in here?

Johnny Cash is rolling in his grave. My wife cringed and said it sounded like a gangster pulled up to a good ol' boy, and both of them have their windows rolled down with their radios blaring. None of it matched, and it sounds like Snoop wanted to put it in a minor key... in lesser words, it sucks.
  • I would just like to say that when I wrote the original post and dared to suggest that Johnny Cash would not like such bastardization of his song, several commenters insisted that it was harsh and touted the virtues of ye olde Snoope Dogge.

    ...Told ya so.

That's pretty horrible. Good ole Johny Cash just doesn't fit.
