Johnny Cash Is Rolling Around In His Grave Right Now

Nashvillest’s new favorite country star Snoop Dogg is leaving his fingerprints all over country music yet again. This time, he’s remixed “I Walk The Line” by Johnny Cash, to be included on a “Johnny Cash Remixed” project along with remixes by the Alabama 3, Pete Rock, Mocean Worker, Philip Steir, Sonny J, Kennedy, Mexican Industry Of Sound, the Heavy and Count de Money.

Snoop tells Billboard Magazine that “If you take your time to listen to it, country music is very similar to rap.” That explains a lot.

When I first heard “Cocaine Blues,” the first genre I thought of was rap.

If nothing else, this will be interesting. Possibly awesome.

Johnny Cash who covered Nine Inch Nails? I don't know, maybe he'd be into it…

Yeah, I disagree with the hatin'. I was actually rather impressed with Snoop's country music video (better than current pop country), and honestly I think he remains “real” and isn't trying to make a quick buck like Bon Jovi, Faith Hill, etc.
