Yes, we’re serious about that. Between 9am-1pm on Saturday, we’re going to be dumping our hazardous household waste at a variety of metro collection points:
- Hillsboro High School (3812 Hillsboro Pike in Green Hills)
- Bellevue at the MTA Park & Ride (Coley Davis Road and Highway 70 South)
- Dupont Hadley Middle School (1901 Old Hickory Blvd. in Old Hickory).
They’re only taking common hazardous waste, with a focus on prescription medicines. You can also drop off batteries, lightbulbs, thermometers and cell phones. No paint or tires- those still have to go to East Convenience Center (943-A Dr. Richard G. Adams Drive).
