- An environmental group is threatening to sue Metro Nashville over its dumping of untreated sewage into the Cumberland River when the system overflows. More than an estimated million gallons flowed into the river in one day in August.
- Davidson County Sheriff Daron Hall presented the Johnny Cash Museum Tuesday with a recently discovered official identification for the late singer as a sheriff’s deputy, an interesting footnote for one of country’s “outlaws.” Cash was only ever charged with minor offenses, and never spent more than a night in jail.
