- Tomorrow’s council meeting could set the stage for the city’s first property tax increase in several years if one of three substitute budget proposals are approved. Five budgets, including the mayor’s submitted one, will be voted on.

- The Ridgetop community’s police force is back on the job after a judge allowed the department to operate pending a review of city administrator’s decision to disband the force, allegedly a move in retaliation for the chief outing a ticket quota demand.
- A North Nashville neighborhood is said to be wary of a rocket factory planned for the area and expected 150 new jobs, with efforts to block it lead by a landowner of several residential properties. ?
- Lime scooters will now be supported by a “foot patrol” that will move the scooters back to corrals and remind riders of the rules for use. The move is in response to a threat to ban all dockless scooters if improvements are not made.
- Matt Kenigson, the husband of a Nashville judge Lynda Jones and founder of Make Nashville, was killed in a car accident just after midnight Friday. Kenigson was 47.
- Manchester police attempted to better reroute traffic after Bonnaroo attendees spent as much as two hours stuck in their car. Attendance was estimated at a six-year high.
