- The Metro Nashville Police Department says they have launched an internal investigation following a viral video that shows the a 13 year old boy being detained outside a West End Starbucks for panhandling.
- Three 8th Avenue bars are closed indefinitely after sustaining significant water damage in this weekend’s storms.

- Eric Munchel (better known as “Zip Tie Guy”) and his mother will be released pending their trial after an appeals court ruled their actions during the January 6 Capitol Riot did not meet the standard to continue detaining them.
- The Nashville Predators (19-17-1) picked up a 3-2 win in overtime Tuesday night over the Dallas Stars (11-12-10) to further cement a playoff spot, having won six in a row. They host Dallas again tonight and the Chicago Blackhawks (17-15-5) on Saturday.
- Vanderbilt University announced a $300 million investment in its athletic facilities and programs on Monday. It does not call for a new football stadium as some sportswriters have called for.
