- The Metro Nashville Police Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Community Oversight Board after months of the two sides failing to reach an agreement and the resignation of the board’s director. The new MOU encourages — but does not require — the cooperation of the police department in the board’s investigations.
- About 100 people gathered Sunday afternoon in downtown Nashville to protest the Trump administration’s use of a drone strike to kill an Iranian military leader in Iraq Thursday. Protestors said the action could lead to a needless war with Iran.
- The New York City Police officer accused of breaking into a Nashville woman’s home and threatening her with racist language has resigned rather than facing a disciplinary board.
- The future of the Morris Memorial Building, former home to a prominent publisher for African-American Baptist churches, is very much in doubt after Mayor Cooper decided Friday not to move forward with the city’s $12.8 million purchase. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
- A criminal justice advocate has been arrested after security footage showed him entering the newly constructed downtown jail and allegedly stealing keys and other materials from the facility.
- A homeless man was arrested with multiple weapons after firing upon police officers Friday night while in a vacant building in midtown. There were no reported injuries.
- Police arrested a woman they say set another person on fire Monday morning in a North Nashville duplex, with the victim being treated at Vanderbilt’s burn unit.
- The Tennessee Titans stunned the New England Patriots 20-13 in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs Saturday night. The Titans move on to face the Baltimore Ravens next Saturday in the divisional round on the road. ?

- The Nashville Predators (19-15-6) returned to action with a 4-1 road win over the Los Angeles Kings (17-22-4) Saturday night before dropping a 5-4 shootout loss to the Anaheim Ducks (17-20-5) Sunday night. The Predators are back in action Tuesday night against the Boston Bruins (24-8-11) at home.

- Percy Warner Park’s iconic stone steps will be closed for restoration for the six months, park officials say. Erosion and the elements has made sections of the staircase unsafe for pedestrians.
- Longtime WSMV anchor Demetria Kalodimos has settled with her former employer and agreed to drop an age discrimination and wrongful termination lawsuit. Details of the settlement were not made public.
