- The Stanley Cup Playoffs (or at least the series we care about) start at 8:30 p.m. tonight at Bridgestone with the Nashville Predators taking on the Colorado Avalanche. Saturday’s game starts at 2:30 p.m., also downtown.

- We’re digging the new decorations on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. Go Preds!
- The United States Secret Service inspected more than 2,500 gas pumps for so-called credit skimmers, saying that they have found nearly a dozen in the past few weeks. Police warn consumers to watch out for evidence of tampering before using a pump. ⛽
- An investigation that included disturbing security camera footage indicates that the Metro Nashville Police Department is not being proactive in the downtown areas that tourists frequent. The precinct is promising changes in its approach.
- Pretty scary moment for some students near Antioch when a tractor trailer knocked live electrical wires onto three buses. No one was injured.
