- Lots and lots of Nashvillians came out to protest President Trump’s Executive Order regarding immigrants and refugees. Even the people from fake Nashville were there. Mayor Barry had some things to say. In the midst of the rally, Senators Alexander and Corker both issue statements condemning the order.
- Governor Haslam is scheduled to deliver the State of the State address tonight, and there is going to be another demonstration.
- On a more cheerful note, the Nashville Zoo hopped into a #cuteanimaltweetoff with zoos and aquariums all around the country.
- A new report from the American Transportation Research Institute revealed that three of the nation’s top 50 traffic bottlenecks are right here in Nashville, but deep down inside, we probably already knew that.
- We’ve had 490 new restaurants open up in Nashville since 2010, and local restauranteur/hero Arnold Myint thinks the scene is oversaturated.
- Congrats, you guys: We officially have more construction cranes than NYC and almost as many as LA.
- A Belmont student turned up with the mumps, and university officials are urging students to be extra vigilant about behaviors that might cause them to catch or spread it.
