Good morning, Nashville. A bit of welcome warm weather is heading our way. We’ll see 40 degrees tomorrow, 50′s Sunday and Monday, and temperatures in the 60′s starting Tuesday! We want to give a shout-out to the snow for its usefulness in crime-busting, though. Clarksville police nabbed a burglar after tracing his footprints in the snow back to the scene of the crime, and one happy Clarksville man got his GPS back. Anyway, 60 degrees anyone?
- Vroom. Mitsubishi is expected to announce on Monday plans to bring a $200 million manufacturing site to Memphis. Jobs! Money! Cars!
- It might get better. A parent is suing Metro Nashville Public Schools for failing to provide a safe place from bullying after an incident with a bully landed one of her daughters in the hospital. Metro schools have been working on solving the bullying problem since last fall, proposing changes to the bullying and harassment policy that include cyberbullying, an option to report bullies anonymously, putting teachers and staff through special training and sponsoring a bullying awareness campaign.
- Bits & pieces. Four people escaped from a Green Hills home as it went completely up in flames last night … Our very own Ryman Auditorium was named Pollstar’s Theatre of the Year for the third time … Yesterday was a good day for Vandy basketball … While we were cooking potato soup, this guy was cooking meth in his bathroom in Madison … Could we really, maybe, actually, for real get wine in our grocery stores sometime, ever?
