Good morning, Nashville. Hopefully you’re not reading this while standing in a painfully long security line at BNA, where things seem to have stayed relatively calm this morning. Best we can tell, there have been no riots, no “don’t touch my junk bro”s, no Youtube’d strip searches, or anything of the sort. As for everyone (all one million of you!) who opted to join the sea of cars pouring out of the city, TDOT will be halting all construction by noon to make things go as smoothly as possible. So please be careful, don’t text while driving, don’t GPS while driving, keep the painted side up, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
- He said, he said. Coach Fisher is insisting that Vince Young wasn’t actually banned from the training facility as everyone was reporting yesterday. It’s just that they were having a meeting without him, and they didn’t want him there “for obvious reasons.”
- Just ride the bike. Metro’s bike share program is still looking for folks to actually use it. Participation was pretty low over the summer, though organizers say it’s about what they expected. But Mayor Dean reiterates that people have to actually ride the bikes in order for it to combat obesity. Which makes sense, if you think about it!
- Bits & pieces. Many flood victims are not very happy with how long it’s taken to receive their aid … Remember the food drive competition between the Mayor’s Office and the Governor’s Office? The Mayor’s Office won … NES has really beefed up their power outage map, which you can access from your phone if the power goes out … The Preds revealed their net worth of $50 million as of June 30th.
