Good morning, Nashville. We hope you were able to weather the cold and the Titans’ worst loss in franchise history this weekend. While most of the city quietly wept in the corner yesterday afternoon, others tried to figure out what went wrong. Some blamed Kerry Collins, some blamed Coach Fisher, and some even blamed the New England snow. Regardless of what unfortunate combination of factors caused the humiliating 59-0 loss, we’re just relieved we’re on a bye week.
- Another McNair? The drama seems nearly endless when it comes to the McNair estate, which is now being sued by a woman who claims to share a 17-year old daughter with McNair and is thus entitled to a share of the estate.
- Downtown doing alright. Convention & Visitors Bureau officials say that Nashville’s downtown is outperforming many other cities economically thanks to events like the Kings of Leon concert. Go figure.
- Bits & pieces. Operation Stand Down, a program that reaches out to Nashville’s homeless veterans, drew hundreds to its annual outreach event this weekend … Metro Health Department is reaching out to undocumented immigrants to provide the H1N1 vaccine … If you notice some trees on fire along the Natchez Trace Parkway, fear not … An African American professor at Vanderbilt is accused of enabling racism … Thanks again to the BarCamp gang for planning a great day of tech talk and networking this weekend.
