Apropos of nothing, here are some Thai elephants painted up to look like pandas, or “pandaphants,” if you will. From the Daily Mail:
These elephants were painted black and white to look like the pandas who have stolen all their fans.
The elephant is Thailand’s national symbol, but the country has gone panda-crazy since the birth of a female panda cub to pandas Lin Hui and Xuang Xuang at Chiang Mai zoo in Bangkok.
We won’t pretend that this in any way relates to Nashville, but with all the sad news lately, who couldn’t use a good pick-me-up? And we might just toss this one in the suggestion box for the Nashville Zoo, which is seriously lacking in the panda department.
