Happy Hour: Happy HIV Testing Day

  • Today was National HIV Testing Day, and 27 local African American churches are using the excuse to reach out to their congregation by offering HIV tests on site during their Sunday services this weekend (June 29). [WTVF]

  • The folks in Goodlettsville are doing what they can to make sure Mansker Station and the Bowen Campbell Home historic sites can stay open next year. But as Channel 4 astutely points out, “Mansker’s Station only has a few full-time workers anyway volunteers do a lot of the work.” [WSMV]
  • The TBI started collecting information today for the new and improved sex offender registry, which is set to launch on January 1st of next year. You’ll even be able to sign up to be notified by email if a sex offender moves to your area. [WTVF]
