- A coalition of social justice organizations have filed a lawsuit on behalf of the city’s bail fund, arguing the current policies unjustifiably keep poor people in jail longer for non-violent infractions.
- A group has released a report about the 37208 zip code, recommending improved community resource centers, affordable housing and better access to transit among other items after a study found the area had the highest incarceration rate in the country.
- The Nashville Predators (26-21-7) picked up a 3-2 win over the Calgary Flames (28-22-6) Thursday night before losing 3-2 to the Edmonton Oilers (29-20-6) Saturday night. They close out their Canadian road trip against the Vancouver Canucks (30-21-5) tonight.
