- Mayor Megan Barry presented the “Let’s Move Nashville” plan, a project that calls for a massive tunnel under downtown, several light rail corridors and general service improvements to the MTA. The $5.2 billion project will go before voters in May, paid for by an increase in sales, business, car rental, and hotel tax increases.
- While city residents debate the measure, it has won some early support from nearby county leaders who welcomed the plan.
- WSMV points out that the city is committing to $6.5 billion in projects when including the airport expansion and proposed soccer stadium.
- One person who will not overseeing those projects is the now-former CEO of the Nashville International Airport. He was fired for alleged lack of financial oversight.

- Metro Police project that robberies could hit a nine-year high in the city. More than 1,500 cases have been reported this year, with the Hermitage precinct seeing a 21 percent increase.
- The Tennessee Titans (3-3) pulled off a thrilling come-from-behind win over the Indianapolis Colts (2-4) on Monday Night Football to move into a tie atop the AFC South division. The win snapped an 11-game losing streak dating back to 2011. Up next for the Titans is a trip to Cleveland (0-6) this Sunday.
- The Nashville Predators (3-2-1) won their Tuesday night game over the Colorado Avalanche (4-3) in convincing fashion, 4-1. The Preds play tonight in a rematch with Philadelphia (4-2-0) before traveling to New York (1-5-1) for a Saturday game against the Rangers.
- An industry group has named Bridgestone Arena its “Arena of the Year,” winning the award for the fourth time since 2008.
