- A horse named Scorpiancer picked up the win at the 76th Annual Iroquois Steeplechase. We heard the infield was pretty lively though.
- Two Nashville bars — The Diner downtown and Scoreboard Bar & Grill near Opry Mills — can now operate for 23 hours a day thanks to a new state law. If you are thirsty between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m., you’re still out of luck.
- A supposed police chase interrupted two people lounging in a hammock in East Nashville Saturday night. Jeez, is nothing sacred?! We’re glad no one was hurt!
- The Predators picked up a 3-2 overtime win on Friday on a goal from James Neal before dropping a 5-3 decision in Game 2 on Sunday night. Game 3 is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bridgestone Arena in Smashville.
- The infamous TSC (no, not the company that sells farm stuff) is in the news again after Metro Codes walked through the building in Madison. There’s not enough Lysol around to write more about this.
- District Attorney Glenn Funk announced Thursday that MNPD Officer Joshua Lippert will not face charges in the shooting death of Jocques Clemmons in February. Protestors marched to Mayor Megan Barry’s house later that evening.
- Supermodel Lily Aldridge and former Titan’s running back Eddie George are on board as co-chairs for the push to get a Major League Soccer franchise in Nashville. They were introduced alongside the re-branded MLS2Nashville committee on Thursday.
- Former General Sessions Judge Casey Moreland will appear in federal court at the end of June for charges stemming from his arrest last month, including bribery and evidence tampering.
- Titans wide receiver Tajae Sharpe and offensive lineman Sebastian Tretola have been sued in federal court for an alleged altercation outside Tin Roof near Music Row. The victim says Sharpe knocked him unconscious while Tretola was a lookout.
