We don’t usually give chains much attention here on Nashvillest, but Chuy’s has always been an exception. When the quirky tex-mex chain announced they’d be opening their first location outside of Texas in Middle Tennessee in 2009, we were blown away by the passionate Chuy’s fans flocking to Cool Springs en masse to get their fill of kitschy Elvis-themed decor, giant burritos and creamy jalapeño. Chuy’s in Middle Tennessee has certainly been a hit, and Bites reports that their newest location is landing a little closer to home – Smack dab in the middle of Midtown at Broadway and Division at 19th.
The midtown Chuy’s is expected to open this summer, just in time for margarita season (wait, isn’t margarita season any season? Scratch that). In the meantime, they’ll be working hard to brighten up this crazy old building into one of their cheery eateries plastered with primary colors. We’ll be lining up for happy hour with the best of ‘em, and can we throw in a vote for some patio seating?
