- More than half of Nashville’s traffic accidents happen on less than 6 percent of its streets, prompting city officials to seek input on how to fix it.

- The Nashville Predators struggled a bit after the holiday break, but picked up a 6-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks at home Saturday. The team faces the Vegas Golden Knights tomorrow night on the road.
- In case you missed it, Metro will not pick up recycling this month because of issues with their primary trash collection vendor.
- Nashville said goodbye to a lot of restaurants in 2021, including Hermitage Cafe and Rotier’s. Here’s to hoping for a better 2022.
- The Tennessee General Assembly will be back in session soon, but News Channel 5 has a look some of the laws that took effect January 1.
- A year after the Christmas Day Bombing, the New York Times has a look at the ambitions of developers and city officials for Second Avenue.
- The historic downtown Arcade is getting a facelift according to documents submitted to the Metro Development and Housing Agency. The alleyway building is home to restaurants, offices and art galleries.
- The building that housed the Downtown Sporting Club (and before that, Paradise Park, and The Big Bang) has been sold again, this time for an eye-popping $47.9 million. The bar was closed immediately as part of the deal, with no word on what’s next.
- A report says that Nashville was the fourth most popular place to move to in the country in 2021. It also said that homes purchased were $58,000 cheaper than the average of where they were coming from.
