- Nashville police are looking for a woman who allegedly went behind the counter at a McDonald’s and swung a fryer scoop at an employee because her order was taking too long. The assault left a gash on the victim’s forehad.
- The Nashville Predators (0-2-0) are still looking for their first win after a 4-3 loss to the Seattle Kraken (1-1-1) in their home opener Thursday and a 3-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes (2-0-0) Saturday night. They host the Los Angeles Kings (1-1-0) tomorrow night.

- A 22 year-old driver is recovering from third-degree burns after the converted electric vehicle he was driving had its batteries explode. The vehicle conversion was done by a third party.
- The six police officers that initially responded to the Christmas Day bombing in downtown Nashville were given the “Top Cop” award at a ceremony in Washington D.C. The officers are credited with ensuring nobody (other than the alleged bomber) was injured in the blast.
- The Brookmeade Park homeless encampment is again in the news, with neighborhood residents sparring with city leaders and homeless advocates over the pace of clearing the park. Metro Parks says it will cost $850,000 to renovate the park.
