- About 35 businesses around Nashville are participating in the “Shot for a Beer or Coffee” program to promote vaccination, where patrons can show their CDC card to receive a free beer or cup or cup of coffee, through the end of May. Remember to tip your wait staff though!
- The Metro Health Department first said that it would keep its mask mandate in place, only to drop it a few hours later along with the remaining restrictions on indoor gathering. The CDC still recommends un-vaccinated folks continue to wear masks until they reach full immunity.
- Nashville vaccinated about 1,000 adolescents on the first day the Pfizer vaccine was authorized for use in those 12 years and older.
- Many churches and businesses are not changing their mask requirements, citing the low vaccination rates in the city an inability for most children to be vaccinated.
