- The Tennessee Titans (2-3) lost a 14-7 game at home to the Buffalo Bills (4-1), with some head-scratching coaching decisions and an 0-4 performance by the kicker. The Titans travel to Denver next Sunday to face the Broncos (1-4) next Sunday.
- The Nashville Predators (1-1) opened their season with a 5-2 win over the Minnesota Wild (0-2) on opening night at Bridgestone Arena followed by a 5-3 loss at home to the Detroit Red Wings (1-0) on Saturday. The Predators host the San Jose Sharks (0-3) tomorrow night.

- Tickets to Bridgestone events have picked up an added layer of security to prevent invalid tickets being sold by scalpers, where the barcode on the ticket rotates on a mobile phone rather than a screenshot. Tickets must be transferred through the app when sold or given away.
