- The city of Nashville will audit its relationship with four of its biggest contractors after questions arose from how it billed for sidewalk paving projects and reports of employees at a basketball game while on the clock for the city.
- West End Ave fixture Tin Angel will close next week, ending a 32-year run for the restaurant.
- The recent rainfall and flooding will keep several of Nashville’s greenways closed for several weeks officials wait for the flood waters to recede and make necessary repairs to bridges and walkways.
- The Nashville Predators (39-27-5) are having a bit of a slump to end the season, most recently with a 3-2 loss against the Anaheim Ducks (28-34-9) Tuesday night. The team wraps up its California road-trip against the Los Angeles Kings (25-36-8) tonight and the San Jose Sharks (43-19-8) Saturday.
- A typo in a deceased man’s will has his surviving children going to court against two religious institutions that say they are entitled to a portion of his estate. So far the courts have sided with his children.
- Mayor David Briley says that his administration will propose a transit line (either bus rapid transit or light rail) between the Nashville International Airport and the SoBro district downtown. It is the latest in a line of proposals from the city’s mayors that typically face an uphill battle to come to fruition.
- The Interstate 24 eastbound lane has reopened after being temporarily widened to get around last month’s mudslide. Contractors are working to repair the slope.
