- Somehow, some way, there are even more scooters on the sidewalks in Nashville now that Lyft has dropped off 500 of them around Nashville. You can spot them by their pink and purple stripes on what otherwise would be a Bird scooter. ?
- Activists at Metro’s Industrial Development Board meeting Thursday warned the group not to attempt to dilute the January ordinance aimed at increasing transparency around the incentives given to companies wanting to locate in Nashville. The arrival of AllianceBertnstein and Amazon has prompted renewed interest in these incentive packages.
- A Nashville nurse is working in Uganda with the Doctors Without Borders group to help refugees in the region that have fled violence in nearby Sudan. ?⚕️
- If you are traveling from the airport in a Lyft or Uber, you will have a bit longer of a walk to get to get to your car after BNA moved the zone in order to ease congestion. The airport is kicking off it’s multi-year renovation project.
- Speaking of the airport, WKRN caught video of people abandoning their ride share and walking to the airport in the Friday-before-a-holiday traffic. It should be noted that it’s illegal for pedestrians to be on the Interstate, y’all.
- The Tennessee (9-6) Titans knocked off the NFL Team from Washington (7-8) 25-16 to make next week’s game a win-or-go home match-up against two division opponents. The game at home against the Indianapolis Colts (9-6) has moved to Sunday Night Football because of those playoff implications.
- The Nashville Predators (22-13-2) really want Santa to bring them some healthy players after losing on the road 2-1 to the Philadelphia Flyers (15-16-4) Thursday and 5-2 to the Boston Bruins (20-13-4) Saturday. The team returns home after the holiday break to host the Dallas Stars (18-15-3) Thursday.
