- Twenty two indictments were handed down for human trafficking on Thursday in Brentwood after the various men are said to have attempted to sex with a minor in a sting operation.

- The Tennessee Titans (6-3) beat the Cincinnati Bengals 20-24 on a late touchdown pass to DeMarco Murray to take the lead in the AFC South and secure their best start since 2008. They have a very short week before traveling to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers on Thursday.
- Vanderbilt football had a rough go of it hosting the Kentucky Wildcats, dropping the game 44-21 and significantly dimming their bowl hopes for the year. They host Missouri (5-5) next Saturday at Dudley Stadium.
- In hockey, the Nashville Predators (9-5-2) used a 4-5 shootout win to defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins (9-7-3) Saturday night in a rematch of last year’s Stanley Cup Final, with the newest Pred Kyle Turris getting a goal in his first game. They host former head coach Barry Trotz and the Washington Capitals (9-7-1) tomorrow.

- With a plan to downgrade Metro General Hospital to only treat outpatient cases, a Metro councilman is vowing to fight the move, citing job losses and patient care concerns. The mayor’s office says that the move is supported by the current use of the facility and mounting budget shortfalls.
- Gaylord Opryland Resort & Hotel lit up more than three million Christmas lights Friday night for its annual “A Country Christmas” event.
