- Nashville property owners aren’t happy with their most recent appraisals, as theĀ the Property Assesor’s Office saw a whopping 55 percent increase in appeals.
- An East Nashville woman was shown on security camera footage to douse a car in gasoline and set it ablaze. Hell hath no fury and all that.
- The Nashville Predators (1-2) raised their Western Conference Champion banner to the rafters Tuesday night and then pulled off a comeback-from-a-collapse 5-6 win over the Philadelphia Flyers. They face off with the Dallas Stars 7 p.m. tonight at Bridgestone Arena.
- Twitter (the company, not the community) can’t seem to make up their mind whether the phrase “selling baby parts” in a Marsha Blackburn for Senate ad violates its advertising policies.
- We’re going to guess if Kid Rock does actually run for senate, this speech won’t be included in his official records.
- A Smyrna principal slept on the roof of a bus dressed as Batman (who among us?) after students met a fundraising goal.
- The head of Metro Water spoke at the council meeting about the need for a downtown flood wall while saying flood prone neighborhoods outside of the city core should take buyout offers. That did not sit well with council members from those districts.
- A group of East Nashville residents is asking for traffic calming measures to be installed after repeated damage to parked cars by careless drivers.
- The good news: Glass recycling pickup is starting in Nashville! The bad news: Only if you happen to live in a bar on Broadway.
- A transportation analytics company named a stretch of I-24 south of town as one of the worst in the country for congestion.
