Good morning, Nashville. Your tour of the headlines on this fine fall Monday morning:
- Fall has arrived! We busted out the sweaters and jackets last night as temperatures dipped into the thirties. Things will warm up a bit this week, but we have a feeling our favorite season is sticking around for a little while. [Nashville WX]
- The Titans had another good weekend on the field, sprinting past the browns 31-13 yesterday. However, we said a very sad goodbye to former offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger who passed away from cancer on Friday. Coach Dinger was with the Titans from 2000-2010 and will be greatly missed. [WTVF]
- An estimated crowd of 500 turned out for Nashville’s SlutWalk to raise awareness about sexual violence. [Tennessean]
- The inaugural Battle of the Food Trucks was a smash hit yesterday at Greer Stadium and raised more than $12,000 for Second Harvest Food Bank. We’d like to extend a special congratulations to Riffs Fine Street Foods for taking home the prize for Best Overall Food Truck! (Great, now we’re craving jerk chicken.) [WKRN]
- The Preds are looking good this year in the preseason! We’re getting our fang fingers ready for the home opener on October 13th. [City Paper]
