• For all the GOPers among us, there’s a McCain-Palin party happening in a few minutes at the Douglas Corner Cafe on 8th Ave. at 6pm. There should be plenty of good music and good folks out showing their support for the Republican ticket. [TNGOP]
• The city is officially shutting down the homeless gathering spot known as Tent City on September 22nd, threatening the residents with prosecution if they aren’t out by the deadline. We’re thinking someone should bring this one up at the Habitat meeting tonight. [Tennessean]
