Time Turns Electric: Phish (Sort Of) Lives On In Nashville

One of the perks of being heralded as the “Music City” is that we often are privy to musical experiences that other cities would never even dream of witnessing. Even though the big tours sometimes skip over us, we get Ben Folds playing with the Nashville Symphony this September and Taylor Swift recording an episode of Crossroads with Def Leppard in October. And we think that’s pretty cool.

Here’s another one for you. Trey Anastasio (yes, he’s out of jail), better known as the frontman of Phish, has teamed up with local composer Don Hart to create an orchestral work called “Time Turns Electric.” And its inaugural performance on September 27 will be right here in Nashville, TN at the Ryman Auditorium. Even if you’re not a Phish fan, this is going to be a pretty memorable event.
