- We’ve ignored it for as long as we can, but here you go: Republican gubernatorial candidate Basil Marceaux is famous on the internet. He even made it onto Stephen Colbert last night. He wants to end slavery at traffic stops, plant vegetation in intersections, fine everyone who doesn’t own a gun, ban flags with fringe, and address school violents. He is both funny and sad.
