Free pancakes. Free pretzels. What more could you ask for? This Saturday, February 20 is Free Pretzel Day at Auntie Anne’s, home to those irresistible mall cinnamon sugar crack-pretzels. There’s pretty much an Auntie Anne’s in every mall around – Green Hills, Opry Mills, Cool Springs, Hickory Hollow and Rivergate Mall all house a location. You can even sign up to receive a text message reminder about Free Pretzel Day from the Free Pretzel Day website, lest you (heaven forbid) forget! Free Pretzel Day only goes from 10am-3pm, so schedule your mall-hopping accordingly.
Fast-forward to next Tuesday, February 23, when we’ll be observing IHOP’s National Pancake Day. And by “observing,” we mean “downing a free short stack of pancakes as late at night as possible.” As late at night as possible happens to be 10pm, since National Pancake Day at IHOP is contained within the hours of 7am-10pm. All they ask is that you consider making a small donation to the Children’s Miracle Network or another local charity in lieu of paying for your pancakes, but no donation is required. Not to be outdone by Free Pretzel Day and their fancy-schmancy SMS, at the IHOP National Pancake Day website you can sign up to receive a celebrity wake-up call on the morning of February 23! We love tech-savvy food freebies.
