We’re Takin’ This Show On The Road: BarCamp Memphis

Get out your laptops, Droids (iPhones are so last month) and, uh… Peeks, and fuel up the car! The the  second annual BarCamp Memphis takes place tomorrow, November 14, and we’d love for you to join us at the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering for (another) day of geeking out over technology, Memphis-style.

Regular readers of Nashvillest hear the word “BarCamp” a lot. We just attended another great BarCamp Nashville a few weeks ago, and we’ve been known to venture outside of Nashville to visit other BarCamps, such as BarCamp Chattanooga back in July. At BarCamp Chattanooga, we had the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion about hyperlocal blogging (video) with our friends over at Chattarati, Knoxify and Birmingham’s The Terminal.

Well, we’re taking this show on the road again this weekend, and at BarCamp Memphis we’ll be joining forces with The Terminal, as well as bringing our new friends at Memphis Connect into the mix for a hyperlocal blogging panel, v2.0. Our session is at 1PM, and we’d love to see some Nashville faces there!

So if you’re free tomorrow and you’re feeling roadtrip-y, join us at BarCamp Memphis. Here’s everything you need to know about the day:

BarCamp Memphis: 9am-5pm at the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering (1254 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104).

  • Nice to meet y'all this afternoon! I enjoyed the afternoon discussion with Andre and the others. Thanks for coming to Memphis and sharing with us.

Sorry I didn't have more to add about local blogs and cash flow - it's not my specialty.
