Frist Fridays: Summer Is Here

May 28th, 2008 · Comments

A trademark of Nashville summer, the Frist Center’s Frist Fridays are beginning. They start this Friday, May 30 and occur the last Friday of the month through October. It’s free to members or $8.50 for non-members (we strongly recommend joining the Frist - It’s only $45/year for an individual, $60 for couples, $35 for seniors, and $25 for college students and teachers). Frist Fridays are from 6pm-9pm and feature live entertainment, great art, cash bars, and complimentary hors d’oeuvres. Can’t go wrong with that combination!

On another Frist-related note, their Monet to Dali exhibit is on its last weekend, so catch it while you can. It features 84 pieces from not only Monet and Dali, but also works by Van Gogh, Renoir, Degas, Mattise, and Picasso.

The Monet to Dali exhibit is AMAZING! The best exhibit I've been able to see there (my fourth). I would even go a second time. The art was unparalleled and you'll see true masterpieces. When else will you have a chance to see The Thinker sculpture? :) I can't rave enough about how much I loved it. Recommendation: Go when they have a tour so you get the full history and details of the pieces.
