- A Nashville-bound passenger aboard a Delta flight from Los Angeles attempted to breach the plane’s cockpit, forcing an emergency landing in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The plane landed without incident and the passenger was taken into custody.
- Federal law enforcement continues to issue indictments for the January 6 attack at the United States Capitol using evidence found on social media, this time netting two more Tennesseans.
- A man and a woman are wanted for questioning following a fatal shooting outside of Bar Louie in the Gulch.
- Several groups are organizing to oppose the July 27th referendum that they say would cripple the city’s finances. An anti-tax group successfully petitioned the Davidson County Election Commission to get the referendum on the ballot in March.
- The post office on Church St was damaged Friday night in what is believed to have been caused by an electrical fire.
- Metro Council’s budget chair says that cuts to police spending that many had advocated for at a recent public hearing are unlikely this year.

- The medical examiner has confirmed that all seven passengers aboard a private that crashed into Percy Priest Lake last week have died after their bodies were recovered by search teams. The investigation into the crash could take years to complete.
- The Tennessee Titans have traded for wide receiver Julio Jones from the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for draft picks. Jones was a high coveted player for several teams.
