Bright & Early: Twenty-Eleven Edition

Good morning, Nashville, and happy first Monday of 2011! We hope you guys had a fun, relaxing and safe holiday and that you’re a little less cranky about Monday than we are (that is, if you’re even awake)! Starting January 1, a couple of new laws went into effect in Tennessee including a new measure that requires more DUI offenders to use those fancy breathalyzer devices that don’t allow them to start their cars unless they pass the test. Another law requires prisons to check the documentation of all inmates to verify that they’re in the country legally. Those who aren’t are reported to the federal authorities.
