Good morning, Nashville. The seven main candidates in the 2010 Tennessee gubernatorial race went head to head last night at Belmont on all things education-related. The forum included candidates Bill Haslam, Mike McWherter, Zach Wamp, Ron Ramsey, Jim Kyle, Bill Gibbons and Kim McMillan, who covered the whole gamut of topics ranging from Pre-K to higher education. And thanks to Zach Wamp, we hear that there was indeed a Lane Kiffin mention.
- News continues to pour out of Haiti with Nashville ties including the safe departure of the missionary group from Woodmont Christian Church who will be back home this afternoon. Unfortunately some of the other stories aren’t quite as hopeful.
- The Tennessee Secretary of State is warning the public that scams are popping up everywhere under the guise of providing humanitarian aid to Haitians. So as always, research before you give.
