• Community activist and long-time faith leader Rev. Enoch Fuzz dedicated his 66th birthday to the shooting victims in Collierville, Tennessee. It was the tenth mass-shooting in Tennessee in 2021.

• A man is facing multiple charges for allegedly bringing his deceased mother to the VA hospital in Nashville wrapped in a tarp in the back of his pickup truck from Chattanooga. Police say the 60 year-old woman appeared to have died from a gunshot wound to the head.
• Nashville SC (11-3-6) earned a 0-0 draw on the road against the Chicago Fire (6-15-6). The team returns home to face Orlando City (10-8-8) on Wednesday.
• A group of protestors demonstrated in front of the federal courthouse to demand better treatment of Afghan refugees and those still remaining in the country after last month’s US withdrawal.
