Happy Hour: Speed Of Sound

  • Twitter has been all a-buzz (can we say that?) about the high-speed rail between Nashville and Atlanta that’s in the works. We’ve heard this story before, but it sounds like they’ve already secured $14 MILLION in federal funding for the project. The contractor is looking to grab another $34 million to get the job done a little faster. It’ll likely stretch between Atlanta and ‘Noog first before being extended to Nashville and Louisville, KY.   • Well, it only took five days, but Douglas Henry was declared to be the winner in the District 21 Senate primary by just 13 votes. As expected, Jeff Yarbro’s campaign is calling for a recount. [Nashville Post]
