Good morning, Nashville. The seven main candidates in the 2010 Tennessee gubernatorial race went head to head last night at Belmont on all things education-related. The forum included candidates Bill Haslam, Mike McWherter, Zach Wamp, Ron Ramsey, Jim Kyle, Bill Gibbons and Kim McMillan, who covered the whole gamut of topics ranging from Pre-K to higher education. And thanks to Zach Wamp, we hear that there was indeed a Lane Kiffin mention.

Does anyone else find it ironic that when most aid groups are trying to get into Haiti to help the earthquake victims, the Woodmont Christian Group's first thought after the disaster was “how quickly can I get out of here”? Surely the school they sponsor could've used some help in this dire situation. My deepest respect to Nashville groups such as the Brent Gambrill Ministry who are answering the call to help the Haitians.
