Happy Hour: This One’s For Our Vets

  • Gone are the days of getting your lunch money stolen as a kid. Metro Schools will soon be going to a PIN system where kids type their assigned number into a pad to tap into lunch funds. [WTVF]

Bright & Early: Big Shoes To Fill Edition

Good morning, Nashville. We’re starting to think that we might actually get all those fancy riverfront renovations we’ve been hearing about for years. As Mayor Dean promised in his State of the Metro address over the summer, a firm has been hired to design $30 million worth of projects on both sides of the river. The projects are expected to be started by the end of the month, including that cryptic  “adventure play park.”
