Naked Without Us: Fashion & Music Festival [Guest Posts]

No, you are not seeing things. There may be a few more ridiculously tall women traipsing about this week, looking fashionable, in Nashville all for a week long festival called Naked Without Us. Combining two of Nashville’s most beloved creative outlets; music and fashion, Naked Without Us is hosting events all over the city this week donating proceeds to the Rob Bironas Fund. This festival is only in Nashville and made up of an uber-creative team working insanely hard to celebrate Nashville’s independent aesthetic that merges music and fashion. With a combination of fashion/rock shows, speaking panels, boutique crawls and plenty of industry mixers, already Naked Without Us 2010 has kicked off to a great start!

You definitely do not want to miss out on the FOUR fashion/rock shows that kick off Wednesday night and continue every night until Saturday:

Street Tees Fashion Show, Wednesday April 21, at Exit/In, $5 cover
Boutique Showcase Fashion Show, Thursday April 22, Mercy Lounge, $5 cover
Emerging Designers Fashion Show, Friday April 23rd, Mercy Lounge, $10 cover
The Originals Fashion Show, Saturday April 24th, Mercy Lounge, $10 cover

Also, if you are not one for running a half or full marathon on Saturday, head down to the Naked Without Us Marketplace hosted in the Gulch next to Urban Outfitters at 1pm where you will be able to meet, mingle, and even purchase from some of the designers and people involved in the event.

All Access passes that allow you into industry mixers and panels are available for $30 at Grimey’s. At each of these events be on the lookout for silent auctions featuring pieces from the designers, free drinks (and Yazoo drink specials), giveaways, and lots of promotions going on during the boutique crawl.
