Happy Hour: United We Stand

  • CoverTN, the state program that provides health insurance for small businesses, is expanding its coverages to include certain flu treatments such as Tamiflu and Relenza. They’ll also be adding some more surgery-related benefits and 100% coverage for mammograms. Premiums won’t be increasing. [City Paper]
  • This afternoon, police released the guy who spouted off Bible verses and harassed passengers on a Delta Airlines flight last week, causing the plane to be diverted to Nashville. No charges were filed but could still be in the future. [WZTV]

    Uh... HELL no! WTF! Making us look bad. I didnt think there would be a huge demand here like there is in "Lets-teach-the-bible-as-fact-in-public-schools" Texas.

    I really like Tennessee, but after already being outraged at our 2 - non representative senators and wondering why they voted against the gang rape bill, this kind of news finishes me off.

    Agreed. What a complete waste of time and resources. To put this stupidity into perspective, it would be like me at work sitting down for the next month, copying the employee handbook verbatim and handing it back to my employer. While doing so I would scream, "I'm not living by your rules any longer" the entire time.

    The states have sovereignty, it is granted by the 10th amendment, everyone knows this. What the GOP needs to do is realize they lost the election and will continue to lose elections as long as they waste our time with this stupidity.
