The zoning thing is kind of confusing to me. Can it be shown that the busing program, which has been running for decades now, has actually helped minority students? If not, we would probably do well to save the gas and spend those funds in other ways that might be more helpful to the students.. you know, like buying textbooks for them. And it's all well and good for a judge to mandate that the school must get the books, but what if they don't have any money? What are they supposed to do? I presume their lack of books is not because someone just forgot to buy them.

It was very generous of the artist to actually visit the site this time, before deciding on a new design for the project. How considerate of him to make such a sacrifice! Now we can have giant glass spinning men giving each other high fives while the judge in the courthouse mandates a school that has no money to buy books! Hmmm...

Major letdown on the chickens, but I understand. You know, the human race was almost wiped out when we started keeping chickens, until we realized not to keep them near places where people lived. We're really lucky to be here at all, considering that was before the days we had metro council members who could tell us that smearing chicken poop on ourselves was a health risk! Thank God for our elected representatives!
