“Some cruel, heartless individuals out in Smyrna knowingly robbed a family that was on vacation courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. But we can’t help wondering why they were on vacation in Smyrna.”

What? The family was in San Diego when the robbers broke into the family's home in Smyrna. They knew the family was going out of town and that the family's house would make an easy target. Luckily for the family, a neighbor watched it happen and was able to get two of the four arrested. There's a special place in hell for those kind of people.

I'm an idiot, but at least my mind is at ease that they weren't on vacation in Smyrna. The article linked just refers to a family who was robbed while vacationing on their Make-a-wish trip and I read it as though they were present when the robbery occurred. Thanks for the correction.

Along the walk from my house on N9th street and Main to the Tomato Festival yesterday I saw a dead guy on the steps of the medical clinic next to what used to be Urban Decor. Ambulances were just starting to arrive, but it was too late. They quickly placed a tarp over the poor guy and that was that. I'm not shocked to have not been able to locate any news information via internet or news station on what went down, but I can't stop thinking about this poor guy. If anyone has any information I would appreciate it.

From Christian Grantham, who runs NashvilleIsTalking.com

Police said it was a homeless man expired naturally and independent of festival at 905 Main street. Wasn't at festival, but near.
