Hot Holidays With Hot Chicken: Music City Hot Chicken Festival

If you’ve been reading Nashvillest for longer than a couple weeks, it should come as no surprise that we’re really big fans of hot chicken over here. And there’s no better place for a hot chicken fan than at this weekend’s Music City Hot Chicken Festival, an annual foodie-fest in East Nashville’s East Park. 

The first 500 festivalgoers will get free hot chicken samples from Prince’s, 400°, Bolton’s and The Chicken Shack (and latecomers can still get some hot chicken, but they’ll have to pay for it). More local food vendors, children’s activities, live music and an amateur hot chicken cooking competition are all on the bill, and if you tack on a frosty plastic cup of Yazoo, the Music City Hot Chicken Festival sounds like the perfect way to spend a holiday afternoon.

The Music City Hot Chicken Festival is from 11am-3pm on the 4th of July, and arrive early if you want to be one of the lucky 500 to receive free tongue-splitting pain hot chicken.
