Nashville’s latest ranking comes from Men’s Journal, and we guess we’ll forgive them for using the abbreviation “nabes” (neighborhoods) because they included our very own Gulch among the Best Neighborhoods In America (Southeast). The Gulch has a lot going for them right now, with the recent addition of Urban Flats, Cantina Laredo, Urban Outfitters, and the coming-soon Nashville Clothing Company and The Wine Loft.
In other less favorable news, Tennessee dropped a few spots from last year’s 36th place in the 2009 Bicycle Friendly States rankings, to 43rd place. On the bright side, there’s not much lower we can drop next year!
And finally, some news that’s like music to our ears, the Nashville-Davidson-Murfreesboro metropolitan area was ranked 5th out of 366 metropolitan areas in the country for economic strength.
Editor’s note: There is actually nothing wrong with biking to the Gulch.
